This policy covers the ClipBridge desktop apps (macOS, Windows, Linux) and mobile apps (iOS, Android).
What you copy
Text, images and files you copy are sent only to devices you have paired, directly over your local network. We do not operate any server that receives clipboard content, and we cannot collect or view it.
Everything sent between devices is encrypted with a key created when you paired them (AES-256-GCM).
What is stored on your device
Clipboard history, received files, settings and your list of paired devices are stored only on your devices. Pairing keys are kept in the operating system's secure storage (Keychain, Keystore, Credential Manager).
App logs stay on the device and never include clipboard content. They leave the device only if you export them yourself.
Uninstalling the app removes this data.
What devices on your network can see
To find each other, the apps announce the device name, operating system and version, and the port they use to devices on the same network (mDNS and local broadcast).
Ads in the free mobile apps
The free iOS and Android apps show Google AdMob banner ads. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location, device information and interactions with ads.
In the EEA, the UK and similar regions, the app asks for consent on first launch. On iOS the app does not request tracking permission, so the advertising identifier is not used.

Purchases
The Remove ads purchase is handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment details; the app only checks on your device whether the purchase was made.
Update checks (desktop)
The desktop apps check deeean.com once a day for a new version. Like any web request, this exposes your IP address to Cloudflare's servers.
Permissions
Local network and nearby Wi-Fi devices: used to find your devices on the same network. Notifications: used to show received items and background status (Android).
Children
ClipBridge is not directed at children under 13.
